Cut the tough ends off, usually 1.5-2 inches from the ends of the stalks.
Cut the rest of the asparagus into 1.5" pieces.
Heat the avocado oil over medium high until it slides easily around the pan. Add the bottom 3/4 of the asparagus. Cook stirring occasionally for 2-3 minutes. Then add the tops. Cook for another 1-2 minutes. Add the salt and pepper, stir, then serve.
